I'm Natasha Nasha and I'm a New Media Design student at Rochester Institute of Technology. Unlike a lot of people in my field, I didn't immediately start university as a designer.  Before I switched into New Media, I was actually a Biology major planning on heading to medical school. As you can probably guess, the switch was extremely difficult. I had no prior design knowledge and had only taken one fine arts course in high school– most people in my classes already had a relatively developed skillset. Nonetheless, I was very motivated to catch up and learn as much as I can in the process.

Now that I've been designing for 4 years and have 2 internships under my belt, I can confidently say it's my absolute passion. Designing allows me to insert my voice and presence in a world where people like myself are often marginalized and silenced. I solve problems not because I have to, but because I believe that designers are at the forefront of revolution. Whether big or small, our products always have the opportunity to change lives.

Outside of design, I love crying to romance movies and discovering new music. One of my favorite things to do is support our local music scene and go to shows with friends. I'm also obsessed with anything related to Space and have an astronaut tattoo on my wrist! (Beach House's "Space Song" is the best song ever)
