Aura is an AI-driven personal assistant that exists within a TV operating system and facilitates reconnections with loved ones and the outside world. While the prompt was to create a diary review app that would exist within a tv operating system, we decided to twist the prompt and turn this into an opportunity to do something we've never done before– designing for AI. This was a conceptual product created with 3 other designers: Gabe Cagara, Zainab Hasan, and Alejandro Garzon.

“If an AI were to reach the level of sophistication needed to actually exhibit emotional awareness, it's quite likely that emotions would develop or fail to develop completely independently of what we hoped to do. All we could choose to do is encourage or discourage their expression”
